This N.Y. Times headline reads: "Cancer vaccine used by 25% of girls aged 13-17". For those of you who don't know, Gardasil is NOT a vaccine against cancer. Gardasil is a vaccine against SOME strains of the human papillomavirus, HPV. Having this virus is known to increase one's chance of getting cervical cancer. So of course Merck would love if everyone refers to it as a "cancer vaccine" or "cervical cancer vaccine" when it is nothing of the sort. Type "cervical cancer vaccine" into Google news and you will see Merck has been very successful in this propaganda campaign.
Gardasil is a vaccine, of still unknown effectiveness, against a SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED disease. I know at least one highly educated mother who had her daughter vaccinated because she truly thought this was a vaccine against cervical cancer, which ran in their family.
Fortunately the huge push by Merck to make this vaccine required for school attendance seems to have sputtered, at least for now.

You can always homeschool....at least until Democrats put a stop to that too.
